A plain-English look at what you’re buying from us: the format, what the notes mean, and how to get the most from your bottle.
Like a traditional attar, our fragrances are oil-based instead of alcohol-based. You dab them on rather than spray, a small amount goes a long way, and the scent stays closer to your skin. There’s no sharp alcohol sting when you apply it.
India has one of the oldest perfume-oil traditions in the world. We work within that tradition, with oud, rose, jasmine, saffron, amber and musk, and present it in a way that feels easy to wear today.
When a product page says “saffron” or “oud”, it describes what you’ll smell and how the scent develops. Perfumers build those impressions from many materials, so a note name isn’t a full ingredient declaration. If you have a known allergy, do a patch test before regular use.
Body warmth, skin type and weather all change how long a perfume oil lasts and how far it travels. In Indian summers, one or two light dabs are usually enough. In winter, or for an evening out, you can add a little more.
Close the cap tightly after use and store the bottle away from direct sunlight and heat, so not on a car dashboard or a sunny windowsill. Looked after this way, perfume oil keeps its character for a long time.

Yes. Every perfume oil we sell is alcohol-free.
They’re close cousins. “Attar” traditionally means a natural, oil-based perfume. We use “perfume oil” for our blends because they’re built in a modern way, but they wear the way an attar does: dabbed on, close to the skin and long-lasting.
Oil can mark delicate fabrics like silk or light cotton. Apply it to skin, let it settle for a minute, then get dressed.
